What Rainbows Do You See?

We do not see the world as it is; we see the world as we are.

In the early morning hours, rainbows appeared around my living room light. I smiled so much I almost giggled. Delighted. As a psychic medium, I do take a moment to discern if things are physically there or I am being shown something by spirit. The light was refracting off my computer screen, causing rainbows. The rainbows were really there. They also might have been a gift from spirit, 3 rings of rainbows, and I happily accepted them.

Rainbows are great symbols for our wonderful Wisconsin sisters’ weekend get together. We breathed a collective sigh of relief when the three of us from the Milwaukee area pulled up to our hosts’ home in the woods. It was two years since this group met.

We made it to the cabin, and we made it this far in life together. There were some precarious health issues the past two years.

I’m the youngest, not by much. There’s four and a half years in age between the youngest and oldest. We’ve all known each other no less than 40 years. On her next birthday, our sister turns the age our mom was when she passed away. We take lots of pictures when we’re together; we are aware of how precious our get togethers are.

Great hosts, our brother joined his wife, along with his sisters and sisters-in-law for some of the conversation on the deck. As we posed for a picture he quipped, “Get the seven together. Gotta have the seven in the picture.” It was startlingly funny, since one brother has passed and this brother doesn’t necessarily want to talk about what I do as a psychic medium.

My brother clarified, “That’s what we heard for every picture growing up.” I agreed. And the grown ups often wanted us in age order, oldest to youngest. It was ingrained in our fiber and our family culture.

We laughed as we shared our aging aches and pains, upcoming surgeries and appointments. Grateful. Grateful to be together and share current family pictures, with some in-law families spanning four generations. Great grandmas embraced by active, healthy great grand kids. Delightful. We checked on everyone, then children, newest family babies, spouses, and retirement plans for the half of us still working.

Rainbows. This weekend we looked with love at each other and our lives; there’s so much beauty although there were periods of storms. Beauty created by connection, family and doing the best we could, imperfectly.

There were two mentions, not discussions, of our dad, followed by head shakes. We survived the waves created by what professionals label as a functioning alcoholic father. The word functioning is added because he got up and went to work. He worked and after making a family with seven kids, abandoned us. We learned it was a pattern. He married twice after our mom, created children and abandoned them, too.

We had beautiful weather this weekend to sit on the lake and deck for hours after four days of rain. Nestled in the woods, sitting comfortably on a pontoon boat on a quiet lake, beauty, peace and gentle loving kindness were the ripples this weekend.

I see the world as I am today; healed, growing, doing what I love with those I love. I see rainbows of beauty, peace and gentle loving kindness.

What rainbows do you see in your world today?

“It Was Exactly What I Needed to Hear” – 3 Dad Messages for Father’s Day

I love my work as a psychic medium. Spirit decides which messages and messengers each person needs the most.  As Father’s Day draws near, I’d like to share some special Dad messages with you. The personalities of the dads who passed shined, brightened the room and let their adult children know exactly who was there.

*******

“It’s your dad. He came in, sat right beside you and asked if he could stay there for the rest of the hour. He says you were his favorite.”

The daughter laughed. “Oh, I was and everyone knew it, too!” She laughed because although she came from a large family, he would always say he wasn’t afraid to say she was his favorite. She wasn’t surprised that’s what he said. He always made her feel special and important. Just hearing those words took her right back to that feeling. “Jane, it wouldn’t matter who said what about it. We walked and talked for hours. He was my best friend. He was the best.” She also felt the love fill the room.

*******

It’s rare for physical things to happen when I do readings.  Yet as I did one more walk through a half hour before a guest arrived, there was something on the floor. I wondered if a bug got in. I walked over to see a picture hook sitting on the floor of the doorway of my reading room. I looked around and noticed a large picture missing from the wall. The picture was intact, on the floor behind the couch. The hook had to fly 5 feet to land where it did so I would notice it. Next, water sloshed from my cup. Okay, I thought. Someone’s trying to get my attention. “Is it the picture? You want me to mention the picture?” A sense of knowing filled me. I would mention the picture.

My guest arrived. I welcomed her, introduced myself and what to expect from the reading.  I also told her I needed to tell her about something unusual that happened I believed I was meant to discuss with her. “Before you arrived, a picture fell off the wall.”

“Oh my God,” she said. “A picture fell off an easel at my Dad’s funeral. I knew it was him. The pastor running the service said it wasn’t, but I knew it was.” Her Dad affirmed it was him and went on to say it was his way of telling her he was at the service and pleased with it. This was important to her because he had let her know he hadn’t liked someone else’s service so she wanted to get his right. She wept. “Just like him to make an entrance,” she said.

*******

Another Dad told his son, “You’re a great dad.” Tears spilled down the son’s cheeks. His father died before the son’s children were born. That’s all the son wanted to do; get it right. The Dad went on, “You’re so much like me; you see the good in people, no matter what.”

The Dad laughed when the son asked him for relationship advice. “I really don’t think I’m in any position to give any advice in that area.” The son laughed and agreed. “You need to trust yourself,” the Dad added. “You know the right answer.”

*******

Each of these children, ages 45-75 years, said they thought of their dad every day. Each said the message was “exactly what I needed to hear.”

As Father’s Day approaches, what message do you need to hear?

Memorial Day

Connect. Enter a drawing to receive a Free Telephone Reading.

Jeffrey’s reading impacted all of us in the room that night. I think about the many other veterans who remember those they’ve lost every day. And their families. I am blessed to use the gift I have to serve others. This Memorial Day, I would like to take a moment of silence (pause) to recognize those who are ‘no longer able to wear the uniform,’ having traded their lives for our freedom. Thank you for observing this moment with me.

To enter the drawing:

  1. Be part of those honored in May as part of National Military Appreciation Month – or someone directly connected who also ‘served’; partners, children, or parents of service personnel.

2. On my ihaveamessageforyou Facebook Page: like the page and share the post: Memorial Day: Jeffrey’s Message. (Click Facebook icon on bottom of homepage to be taken to my FB page.)

Enter through the end of traditional Memorial Day, Thursday, May 30th, 2019. In addition to Memorial Day, it was my brother, Dale’s birthday. He was the spirit who told me he could tell me anything I wanted to know about my ability to communicate with spirit. He showed me I would be a psychic medium, author and teacher in this area.

I will draw the winner from entries received meeting the above requirements: military served or immediate family; liked the Facebook Page and shared the post. Winner will be announced on Facebook, on Friday, May 31, at 2 CST.

May is National Military Appreciation Month.

Again, thank you all for your courage, sacrifice and service.

What’s the Best Possible Thing that Could Happen?

When’s the last time you asked yourself what’s the best possible thing that could happen? I’m smiling as I write this. This morning, as I prepared to post on LinkedIn, a piece on trusting God, I journaled.  Journaling is my way of communicating with God and yes, He answers.

As I journaled about writing a LinkedIn post, something I never did before, I was about to write, what’s the wor . . . I am sure you can finish the word. It’s the opposite of this post’s title. And I stopped and laughed. Why would I want to write out anything except All the Good Things Possible if I post? There could be so many! I set up my note paper to write a list of 20. As I psychic medium, I know everything always works out.

So often we prepare ourselves for the worst instead of putting out the intention of expecting and experiencing the best. I am glad I went with the positive. And guess what? I am happy and productive. I posted on LinkedIn, Facebook and have this blog post finished by 9:03 am. Lots of good things happened already today by asking the question, What’s the Best Possible Thing that Could Happen? Next up, figure out how to post the All Good Things List, call the accountant and continue to write.

Hoping you, too, look for the best possible things!

Jane

Thankful Today

It’s Monday of the week of Thanksgiving. You can start Black Friday shopping, the biggest commercial sales event of the year, at a variety of places already, preparing for the next holiday. My heart is full today. Today is a great place to be.

Today, I meditated to a free AP, Insight Timer, information shared with me by a friend. I particularly like Moving Kundalini Meditation by Shakti Sutriasa. The same friend receives an email with my gratitude list, sometimes 2 different lists, a day.

I listened to my new favorite song today, Have It All by Jason Mraz, which I heard in a public restroom for the first time this weekend. There was a waitress in the restroom who encountered me standing there delighted to my toes, taking it in. “Have you heard this?” I asked.

“Three times,” she said, “Over the speakers here,” she gestured up, although she did not know the name of it.  I Googled the refrain and then returned to the table although I had already said my goodbyes. I played it for the two friends who remained at the table. I shared it on my Facebook Page, jane@ihaveamessageforyou.net because it’s brilliant, loving and wonderful. Thank you, Jason Mraz, for sharing your gift.

There is so much in this life; love, loss, sorrow, grief, happiness, hope, laughter, loneliness, contentment, achievement and gratitude. I have the privilege of hearing grief journeys in my work every day. I have been given a great gift, to know there is so much more to life than there is here, and it is available to all of us. Those who connect with their loved ones have the courage to walk their grief journeys and live their lives to the best of their abilities, knowing more.

Love lives on. I feel it in my meditation. I know it through my work. I feel and know it in my home and family. My heart is full, spilling love.  Embracing life, living life, with all of you, having the courage to accept life and sometimes love it, flaws and all. I am thankful today, to be able to share the journey.
